Flachau; nomen est omen:) flach=flat. And yes it's true, the slopes are quite flat, so ideal for families, school groops, beginners etc. But for expert skier/rider isn't a "hot spot",except the nearby mountain,called Wagrain,which is connected with modern lifts and skiruns with Flachau.
At the top of the mountain,actually in Wagrain at the Sunliner detechable quad (with bubbles) you could find some really nice and interesetinf off piste terrains. The off piste is quite steep, (red and black).
From the topstation of the Sunliner you could make an amazing downhil to the valley, of course off piste! If you arrived the topstation, then head to the right side. It's always good, if you have a map, which help you during the downhill, which isn't marked
